DOGE Consolidation Forecasts 25% Crash as Crypto Market Flips Bearish

DOGE Consolidation Forecasts 25% Crash as Crypto Market Flips Bearish

Three Things to Know

  • Dogecoin's largest whales are selling while smaller wallets quietly buy the dip.
  • DOGE trades below every major moving average, and sellers still steer momentum.
  • One support level near $0.068 separates a slow grind from a much deeper drop.

Dogecoin's biggest holders are trimming their bags, and the meme coin keeps sliding week after week. Mid-sized wallets are buying, yet their demand has not matched the selling from above.

That split matters for the whole meme sector right now. Shiba Inu is tracking Dogecoin lower, while Pepe has moved the other way. Traders now face one question. Can dip buyers defend the floor before the largest whales finish selling?

Big Whales Sell 120 Million DOGE as Smaller Wallets Buy the Dip

Dogecoin is heading for a fifth consecutive weekly decline, a slide that began at the end of September. The token now hovers near $0.075 to $0.076, with buyers showing little urgency.

On-chain data from Santiment shows the largest players heading for the exit. Wallets holding between 10 million and 100 million DOGE have shed about 120 million tokens since Thursday.

Smaller whales are taking the other side. Addresses holding 100,000 to 10 million DOGE added roughly 100 million tokens over the same stretch. The data points to a split among holders, with no sign yet of a broad capitulation.

Analytics firm CryptoQuant flags large whale orders and sell-side dominance across both spot and futures markets.

The biggest wallets are unloading faster than mid-sized buyers can absorb. That dip buying may slow the decline without stopping it.

$0.068 Becomes the Floor Dogecoin Cannot Afford to Lose

Dogecoin sits below all three of its key exponential moving averages, which track the average price over a set number of days. The 50-day line sits near $0.082, with the 100-day just above it. The 200-day average hovers higher, around $0.090. Each of these averages now acts as a ceiling, so any rebound runs into layers of sellers waiting to exit.

The recent price action shows that pressure clearly. DOGE was flat on the day and slipped slightly on the week. It lost roughly 19% in a month, a steady bleed with no sharp washout.

RSI, a 0 to 100 gauge of momentum, reads 35. That is weak, yet still above the oversold zone below 30. Sellers remain in control without showing signs of exhaustion, and momentum still points down.

On the daily chart, the first hurdle is a descending trendline near $0.079. Above it, resistance sits at $0.081, followed by $0.088. A full trend reversal would likely need a return toward $0.1027, a level far from today's range.

The nearest support carries the most weight, and the data shows no second cushion close beneath it. A daily close below that level would remove the last nearby buyer zone.

Losing it would expose the headline risk. With no mapped support until well under the current range, a slide of roughly a quarter from present prices becomes possible.

Shiba Inu Mirrors the Dogecoin Breakdown Almost Tick for Tick

Shiba Inu is tracing the same path. The token trades near $0.0000046 after a 2% daily drop. It lost about 5% on the week, slightly worse than Dogecoin.

The moving averages tell a familiar story. SHIB sits below its 50-day average and its 200-day average, which hovers around $0.0000055. Both lines now act as ceilings, with sellers in charge.

SHIB also shows a weak RSI reading, and its momentum gauge still points down.

The difference lies in the cushion. Support sits at $0.0000045, barely below the current price. That leaves SHIB with far less room than Dogecoin before a key level gives way.

A break there would open a path toward $0.0000041, the next mapped floor. On the upside, sellers wait first near $0.0000048 and then around $0.0000050. Bulls would need to clear both before the chart looks repaired.

Why Is PEPE Climbing While the Other Dogs Bleed?

PEPE is the outlier in the meme pack. The frog-themed token rose about 13% in a week while its two larger rivals kept sliding.

The moving averages explain the gap. PEPE trades above both its 50-day average, near $0.0000042, and its 200-day average. Those lines now sit beneath the price as floors, which makes this the only buyer-led trend of the three.

Momentum backs that up. PEPE's RSI reads 58, firm but well short of the overheated zone above 70. Its momentum gauge is also improving, unlike the downward signals on DOGE and SHIB.

The rally has paused, though. Sellers are capping gains just under $0.0000051. The next barrier sits near $0.0000057. Nearby support sits only a fraction below the current price, so the cushion is thin.

A break of that floor would point PEPE back toward the 50-day line. That move would put the last strong meme chart in step with the rest of the sector.

Two Paths Hinge on the Trendline and the Floor

Both outcomes run through the same two DOGE levels.

  • Bullish: DOGE climbs back over the descending trendline and then clears its first resistance, while PEPE pushes through the ceiling capping its rally. That combination would show buyers regaining control across the sector. A slip back under the trendline would cancel this setup.
  • Bearish: DOGE posts a daily close below its key floor as SHIB loses its thin support. That pairing would open the deeper flush flagged earlier. A reclaim of the trendline would invalidate it.

Sellers Hold the Edge Until Big Whales Stop Selling

For now, Dogecoin leans bearish. The largest wallets keep distributing, and smaller buyers are only softening the fall. PEPE's strength looks like an exception.

Meme coins trade on sentiment, and liquidity can thin quickly. Traders should watch whale flows as closely as price.
