XRP Analyst's $10 Target Implies a Rally of About 670% From Here

Three Things to Know

  • XRP analyst Dark Defender expects a near-term breakout that could open a path toward a far higher target.
  • The chart remains cautious, with price stuck under both long-term moving averages while momentum slowly improves.
  • A nearby resistance wall just above the 200-day line is the first test the call has to pass.

Dark Defender, a well-followed XRP analyst, has set a bold target for the token. He sees a much larger move once a first breakout lands.

The call arrives while XRP drifts sideways after a monthly slide, with buyers yet to show real strength. Traders want to know whether XRP can clear its nearest ceilings fast enough to keep the analyst's timeline alive.

Dark Defender Sets a Distant Target After a First Breakout

The pseudonymous analyst, known for chart-based calls on social media, expects XRP to break above $2 this month. He treats that breakout as the trigger for a much larger move. His longer-term target sits at $10.11.

In his view, a clean move through that level would confirm the breakout and open the way higher. He treats the final target as a destination once that condition is met.

The numbers show how wide the gap is. XRP trades near $1.31, so his target sits about 670% above the current price. Even the trigger needs a gain of roughly 53%, and he expects that within weeks.

That makes the first leg the real test of the call.

Both Long-Term Averages Still Sit Overhead

XRP still trades below both of its long-term moving averages. The 50-day average sits near $1.33. The 200-day average is a bit higher, around $1.36. A moving average smooths out daily swings to show the underlying trend. When price holds below one, that line tends to act as a ceiling.

The broader trend has not turned up yet, despite the bullish call. Bulls would need a daily close above both averages before the chart starts to agree with Dark Defender.

The recent action points to a pause. XRP slid about 13% over the past month, then went flat over the last week and the last day. Buyers have stopped the slide, but they have not yet pushed price into a breakout.

Momentum Turns Up Without Conviction

RSI, a 0 to 100 gauge of momentum, reads 49 on the daily chart. That puts XRP in neutral territory, far from overheated and far from oversold. Neither buyers nor sellers hold a clear edge.

Momentum has started to improve, though. The MACD has crossed above its signal line, an early sign that selling pressure is fading. The trend remains weak, so the signal lacks conviction.

$1.35 Is the First Wall on the Road to $2

Resistance near $1.35 is the first barrier on the daily chart. It sits just above the 200-day line, so a close through it would clear a crowded zone at once. The next ceiling waits around $1.44.

A break above both levels would be the first real evidence that the bigger leg is in play.

Support near $1.25 marks the downside line. Losing it would open room toward $0.99. Such a drop would make the analyst's timeline very hard to meet.

What Bulls and Bears Need Over the Next Three Days

  • Bullish: A daily close above that first resistance would put XRP back over both long-term averages and aim price at the next ceiling. The setup fails if XRP slips back below the support floor.
  • Bearish: A close below support would point toward the deeper floor. A move back above first resistance would cancel that bearish view.

A Bold Call Waiting on Its First Proof

Dark Defender's longer-term target stays a long shot until XRP clears the resistance stacked overhead. His first test is a break through the trigger level before the month ends.
